Did you know that Costa Rica currently holds 99 world records for all tackle, line test and fly fishing and that nearly 70 record catches occurred within a 100-kilometer radium of Pirate Cove? No wonder Drake Bay is famous for sport fishing. Fishermen often pay more than $1,000.00 per day in their pursuit of marlin and swordfish. If you are one of those fanatics we can arrange true offshore fishing for substantially less. The captain we use is one of the best in Drake Bay and he is so crazy that when he is not fishing with clients (which is most of the time), he heads out for a little fishing on his days off! For the rest of you, our inshore fishing package will definitely thrill you. We offer trips leaving early in the morning or late in the afternoon. You will troll along the shoreline and up to 1-2 kilometers offshore. With a bit of luck you can hook species such as groupers, big snappers, mackerel, and the incredible roosterfish. It is also possible to find tuna, dorado. We have also seen 20-30 lb. snook caught right at the river's mouth.
